Tribute to Lloyd Cooley

Branch of Service:  US Navy

    Lloyd Cooley served in the Navy at the tail end of World War II.  He served as an anti-aircraft gunner aboard an LCI that was to be part of the invasion of Japan.  Fortunately for his 3 kids and several grandchildren, that invasion never happened and he went on to live a long and productive life.  He is now retired and keeps in touch with his family near and far by e-mail and telephone.
