Open House event for the World War II History Center in its new location at 119 W. Central, El Dorado, KS.  This event will be tied in with the day's Veteran's Day Activities, including one of the best Veteran's Day parades in the state of Kansas.  Here is a list of events for the day:

December 12th

Theatrical release of the movie, Defiance, starring Daniel Craig.  Click here for the movie's website.

 

December 26th

Tentative release date for the Tom Cruise movie, "Valkyrie", the story of the July 1944 assassination attempt on Adolf Hitler.  We intend to set up a display about this conspiracy in the lobby of the West 21st Warren Theater in Wichita, KS, the Saturday following the movie's opening.

 

2010

 

Tentative release date for the movie, "No Better Place to Die", a true story about one of the bloodiest small-unit engagements in World War II.  Directed by Captain Dale Dye, to be shot on location in France at the actual site of the battle.  Click here to go to the movie website.
